The Makings of a Customized Sound System
Recently, we had the pleasure of upgrading one of our client’s outdoor sound systems that we had installed some time ago. Here are a few of the key features that were important to them:
- Crystal clear audio throughout their outdoor spaces.
- The ability to create a “party” atmosphere and project the audio for pool parties, backyard hangouts, and barbeques.
- Complete audio control enabling them to manage which speakers and zones were on and at what volume. For example, they wanted to be able to play music by the pool without having it play on the patio.
We partnered with Coastal Source to create a system that provided all these features and more.
Upgrading the Sound System
Coastal Source met with Sound + Image’s certified technicians at our client’s home. They gave them the red-carpet experience, demonstrating the many different speakers and possibilities for their outdoor space, enabling them to experience firsthand the remarkable options in today's advanced outdoor sound systems.
The audio equipment the clients ultimately chose consisted of Coastal Source’s 3-Way Ellipse Bollard speakers and the most powerful amp for the system. This above-ground full-range speaker is equipped with an 8" subwoofer, offering the deep bass you can feel as well as hear, along with a perfectly balanced midrange and treble. It provided the high-fidelity audio experience the client desired, the pure reproduction of sound as the musician intended.
These speakers also offered a larger driver compared to other outdoor options, enabling us to direct the sound to specific areas and away from neighbors. The bollard speakers are also built to withstand the harshest environmental conditions and bring a style that blends seamlessly with outdoor landscapes and architecture.
Coastal Source and Sound + Image worked together in the speaker placement and design, creating the ultimate outdoor enveloping soundscape that the family wanted.
